Welcome to the New Forums
By the way, just so everyone knows, I am aware of some of the cosmetic and javascript problems with IE, they'll be fixed sometime tomorrow.

Ryan, congrats on a new site version. It definitely looks more functional now :)
First thing I tried to do was to subscribe for the blog feeds. It's broken. All of the sections: neither http://livepipe.net/blog/news/?rss nor http://livepipe.net/blog/news/rss seem to work throwing:
Notice: Undefined variable: posts in /home/livepipe/public_html/controllers/BlogController.php on line 86
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/livepipe/publichtml/controllers/BlogController.php:86) in /home/livepipe/publichtml/picora.php on line 273 http://livepipe.net/blog/featured/ Thu, 01 Jan 2024 00:00:00
Control.TextArea section doesn't display controls in Example. I don't know if it was intended to be this way, though...

More bugs:
- Account section is missing :)
- All not existing pages throw errors (I think it's Picora issue) instead of redirecting to some friendly 404 page
Nice additions to have:
- Leave a comment link right from the general listing under the post instead of going into the post itself
- Comments odd/even row coloring for better readability (additionally, color author posts differently)
- Looks like there's no way to escape default posts formatting (i.e. having underscores makes text italic and there's no way to prevent it)

Ok, so the list in my previous post got all screwed up and there's no way to edit it :)

Thanks kangax, I'll have a look at all of those things. A lot is definitely broken, but I think sometime over the weekend or next week a lot of it will get shored up. Pretty quick fixes most of it (I hope!)

The new site looks much more structured! Good improvement Ryan!
Kangax already said the stuff I had in mind, too.

A simple view (thread title, created by userX on datetime, N comments, last by userY at datetime) option would be good rather than this more blog-like style.

The new forums are a home rolled solution that uses Picora, and uses Markdown for all of the content.
There are definitely bugs. If you can't login, register, or post anything email me. I haven't had the time to test this near as much as I'd like, but the old forums just bothered me a little to much not to go ahead and release this.
The new Picora release has unfortunately gotten pushed off again. If you are dying to get ahold of it, email me and I'll shoot you what I've got. The code portion is done, I just want to document it before releasing it. Not the highest priority in my life this weekend (sorry!).
In general, let me know what works, and doesn't work on the new site. Can't find something? Huge features missing? Let me know!
