Just wanted to give folks some updates on what has been going on. First off I've been very busy with some contract work I am doing, and the Picora Beta 4 release got pushed off.
One of the other reasons it got pushed off is because I've been writing a new version of this website, which includes a forum written with Picora. The new site has a much more coherent navigation structure and design which I'm really happy with. The forums have far fewer features than this board has, but the post editing feature set is far richer, and most importantly, it's really easy to post and talk about code. Also, there are per category and per post RSS feeds, which is a lot more important to me than private messaging and complex user group settings.
With regards to the Picora Beta 4, it's got a few new features that make creating apps even easier, and most importantly the ActiveRecord implementation is pretty much done, and is working great. There may be a few backwards compatability breaks in between now and 1.0, but I'd like to get the major things right for 1.0, so that the API is rock solid from then on out.
I'm ending one of my contracts so I can put 2 full days a week into the open source projects and the community, but in the mean time I'm pretty busy, so if I haven't responded to your emails or posts, sorry! I will get around to it though.
Thanks so much to everyone who has contributed to the early stages of this site and communtiy, good things are coming this weekend!
