Control.modal open window automaticaly with firefox

I have the problem with FF but not safari. My code is a cut & paste version of the exemple for the centered modal window but when I load my page, the modal window is already displayed on screen.

On the other hand, if I open the window with Safari, it works perfectly. What can be the problem?
